This Saturday, we’re doing something really really awesome!

Let’s get formalities out of the way…

Hey Guys,

I’ve been working with my buddy, pal, friend, and boss: Harddrive, who is a DnB / Jungle DJ here in Austin, TX. He’s definitely way cooler than I could ever be:

Instead of me trying to write up something that would totally butcher up what he is, Here are some words directly from the man himself:

Over the last 7 years, I’ve been playing music in and around Austin, TX. From genre-specific club nights to special events looking for off-the-beaten-path musical styles, my focus continues to be on providing rarer grooves to the ears of discerning listeners. A huge part of my musical passion includes helping and supporting the local scene and consistently learning from all the amazing veteran DJs we have in our city today.

Recently, on the club side of things, I’ve been channelling the majority of my efforts into promoting and playing in several monthly residencies with a focus on DnB under the moniker “Harddrive”. Aside from the Sonar and Drum-Soul monthlies, I can be found spinning deep house at the end of each month on Abstrakt nights or the occasional vintage disco/soul/funk tune under my regular name at a one-off show or independent event.

You can check out Harddrive at harddrivednb.com

With that introduction out of the way

I’m really really excited to share this news with y’all (you all).

Recently, he’s learned more about the things I’ve been doing on my channel at Twitch.tv and we talked about an idea on how we can blend the two genres, live gaming broadcasting and live DJ set mixing, together.

We are taking a game, Limbo, that has dark imagery and has a clean canvas when it comes to it’s soundtrack. This is being played by yours truly. Here’s an example of what Limbo is like:

On the soundtracking side, we are introducing musical themes such as dark and eerie dub techno, minimal dubstep, and deep DnB that will be mixed by Harddrive.

The project that we are debuting this Saturday is combining the visual elements of video gaming with the creative flows of DJ mixing to create an unique take of how we watch and listen. The goal of our project to try something new and see what it can evolve into.

In our worlds, we are surrounded with a whole lot of the same. We, collectively, want to stir things up and produce something that goes in a different creative direction and push the envelope of what is possible.

Come check it out, it will be on http://www.twitch.tv/tinner10tin at 8pm TEXAS time. I hope to see y’all there!

If you play Splatoon or Smash, then this is a must have!

For those who are like me, that play Splatoon, you’ll understand what I’m talking about when I talk about the “A Communication Error Has Occurred.” error.

It was a HUGE pain on my side when it comes to playing a very competitive game and to get zero points from it, that’s a double whammy. Why does this happen? Typically, wireless isn’t very good for anything that requires a lot of transfer of data.

This includes Twitch Streaming, watching videos on YouTube/NetFlix/Hulu, and playing online multiplayer games. Will Wifi work well most of the time, absolutely! BUT! if you get a little bitter for the minor blip of a communication error or lag, then wireless is not for you.

With the suggestions of my chat, I got a USB ethernet adaptor:

Get it from Amazon ($10)

It’s a plug and play process. If you need instructions, you can have them here: http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1668/~/how-to-connect-a-wii-lan-adapter-to-the-wii-u

After playing Splatoon with this thing installed made a world a difference. If the Wii U embraces more online game play, then having a stable Internet connection via wired connection become more important to be competitive, but also keeping you from being really salty.

This isn’t the best adaptor, but for $10, this is a good value for getting a stable Internet connection to your Wii U. If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask me in the Twitch live stream or on Twitter.

Guys guys guys guys! Don’t Starve is coming to the iPad!

For those who don’t know, Tin and Tin’s Girlfriend play Don’t Starve. Tin’s GF actually plays it a lot. With that said, I’m really excited to share the news that Don’t Starve is coming to the iPad!

I’ve been streaming A LOT the last 3 days.

Hey Guys!

I wanted to write a quick post to call myself out on not being up to speed with the Twitch stream updates. Over the holiday weekend, I’ve literally been sleeping and streaming. To further provide proof, Since Friday, I’ve streamed 32 hours and 13 minutes of content. It is a lot harder than it looks and it was an experience!

The blog posts that will come out of this weekend are:

  • 13 Rewards, 13 Gambles with Beans
  • We will not let the terrorist win

I’m also going to be doing new blog posts to showcase fan art. I’ve already amass a collection of “creations.” Some are beautiful and others very exposing and not far from the truth. I look forward to this.

However, the highlight of the weekend is that added 40 new followers to our little community. I can’t say how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything that has come by and decided to hang out with everyone at the Tin Can.

This has allowed me to reach my 200+ Followers achievement and this was something I didn’t imagine happening, especially in a 3 month time period.

I just want to thank you all for everything you do for me. With out you all, this would not be possible. I hope to continue to keep my end of the bargain and give everyone the best I can offer to you all.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will talk to you all soon. :)

Super Mario’s Five Nights in Animal Crossing

I’ll admit, it’s been a while since I’ve last posted, so I’m going to give you one of the highlights of the last few streams. I hope that you enjoy!
