If you play Splatoon or Smash, then this is a must have!

For those who are like me, that play Splatoon, you’ll understand what I’m talking about when I talk about the “A Communication Error Has Occurred.” error.

It was a HUGE pain on my side when it comes to playing a very competitive game and to get zero points from it, that’s a double whammy. Why does this happen? Typically, wireless isn’t very good for anything that requires a lot of transfer of data.

This includes Twitch Streaming, watching videos on YouTube/NetFlix/Hulu, and playing online multiplayer games. Will Wifi work well most of the time, absolutely! BUT! if you get a little bitter for the minor blip of a communication error or lag, then wireless is not for you.

With the suggestions of my chat, I got a USB ethernet adaptor:

Get it from Amazon ($10)

It’s a plug and play process. If you need instructions, you can have them here: http://en-americas-support.nintendo.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1668/~/how-to-connect-a-wii-lan-adapter-to-the-wii-u

After playing Splatoon with this thing installed made a world a difference. If the Wii U embraces more online game play, then having a stable Internet connection via wired connection become more important to be competitive, but also keeping you from being really salty.

This isn’t the best adaptor, but for $10, this is a good value for getting a stable Internet connection to your Wii U. If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask me in the Twitch live stream or on Twitter.

If you ever wanted to see what SpeedRunners on my stream would be like…

Hey Guys,

Last week, we played a SpeedRunners, which was a reward redemption from Enderup! Let me save you all the hassle of watching the entire thing and see what it was like in a 2 minute video. For me, it’s quite sad, but for others, it’s a gem. Enjoy!

Guys guys guys guys! Don’t Starve is coming to the iPad!

I’ve been streaming A LOT the last 3 days.

Hey Guys!

I wanted to write a quick post to call myself out on not being up to speed with the Twitch stream updates. Over the holiday weekend, I’ve literally been sleeping and streaming. To further provide proof, Since Friday, I’ve streamed 32 hours and 13 minutes of content. It is a lot harder than it looks and it was an experience!

The blog posts that will come out of this weekend are:

  • 13 Rewards, 13 Gambles with Beans
  • We will not let the terrorist win

I’m also going to be doing new blog posts to showcase fan art. I’ve already amass a collection of “creations.” Some are beautiful and others very exposing and not far from the truth. I look forward to this.

However, the highlight of the weekend is that added 40 new followers to our little community. I can’t say how much I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything that has come by and decided to hang out with everyone at the Tin Can.

This has allowed me to reach my 200+ Followers achievement and this was something I didn’t imagine happening, especially in a 3 month time period.

I just want to thank you all for everything you do for me. With out you all, this would not be possible. I hope to continue to keep my end of the bargain and give everyone the best I can offer to you all.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will talk to you all soon. :)

Happy Birthday Matt and Happy Canada Day!

First off! Happy happy birthday Matt! Also, Happy Canada Day!

I was talking to Matt about what you would like me to stream for his birthday and he requested Minecraft. When I heard Minecraft, I was like…uhhh I don’t play that, but that didn’t matter. I wanted to make Matt’s birthday special! I went ahead and got a server for us to play around with and opened it up to everyone to play.

When the stream started, I was excited about how many people wanted to play and we got a good 6 people to jump on, which was really cool. Early on, I realized that I was really bad at Minecraft. I was armed with an Essential Handbook for Minecraft, but it didn’t help much, lol!

Matt hooked it up with 255 HP and mostly everyone was watching out for me, like I was a baby. Overall it was a lot of fun and I hope to do more Minecraft and be useful next time.

This was also the night where a lot of people that redeemed their coins to have me play games they want me to play. It helps to play games your viewers would like to see!

Overall, I had such a great great time and I will leave you guys with this sweet sweet video of Matt’s little gift for me.

Streaming Tech

I updated my Intro and Outro scenes on XSplit and a lot of people commented positively on them. I did some research on 3DS streaming without a capture card. It primiarily focuses on videoing your actual 3DS externally and cropping the screens. I looks like a great option without having to pay $500 for a 3DS to enable me to stream those games. I will continue to do more research here.

Looking to build out WordPress tutorials

I wanted to add a new section on the website to help share the power of WordPress and how it can enable people to create their own websites with ease. I’m looking to make these in the near future. Let me know what are some of the things you’re looking to learn. :)
