Changes to Graphics

As you may have noticed, there have been some minor changes to the graphics on the stream and in the panels on the Twitch channel. This is an effort to slowly but surely create a new look for the channel.

Previously, I had worked with a designer to put the ideas into graphics and was able to create the first theme. It was great work. However, they wanted to continue to do “business” by having me go to them for any additional work that I would like to have, so I never got a copy of my original files.

Come 5 weeks ago, where I requested a new overlay for the soundtracking event and after countless of unanswered emails and false set expectations, I was motivated to stop being lazy and own the creation process myself.

One can say that I’m salty. A small portion of myself would say yes, but I’m more disappointed than anything because the designer wanted me to adhere to their process and I did, only to not have them pull their end of the bargain.

I decided to take my situation get back into something I haven’t done in a long time. In College, I graduated with a Graphics Communications minor, so this is definitely in my wheelhouse. I have to find the balance between streaming and life to make progress on this, so you’ll see some changes come in the next coming weeks/months. I’m really excited for this.

<------------------------ We have a new Fan Art section :)

Hi Friends,

I hope y’all (you all) have been having a good day. I just wanted to write a quick post about our new section on the website, Fan Art!

Thanks to a number of my viewers, some of my them like to make fun of me with their art, while others like to get my good side. I love them all equally and I’m flattered for people taking the time to draw me in any capacity, so why not show it off.

If you couldn’t tell by the title of the post, you can find the Fan Art on the left menu. If you ever want to make art of me, just submit it on the Twitch chat or Twitter! Either works. Thanks for everyones’ art and I look forward to more in the future. :)

Someone got an early birthday present!

Hey Everyone,

On Monday’s stream, I announced that I got one of my birthday presents early. Without spilling the beans, here’s a nice recap for you :)

There you have it! I got a Katsukity 3DS XL Capture Card. I’m looking forward to debuting my first 3DS game, Animal Crossing: New Leaf this Sunday!

I will be posting another article about the setup process and some quick tips on how to avoid frustration of the capture card. At the very least, it works. :)

This Saturday, we’re doing something really really awesome!

Let’s get formalities out of the way…

Hey Guys,

I’ve been working with my buddy, pal, friend, and boss: Harddrive, who is a DnB / Jungle DJ here in Austin, TX. He’s definitely way cooler than I could ever be:

Instead of me trying to write up something that would totally butcher up what he is, Here are some words directly from the man himself:

Over the last 7 years, I’ve been playing music in and around Austin, TX. From genre-specific club nights to special events looking for off-the-beaten-path musical styles, my focus continues to be on providing rarer grooves to the ears of discerning listeners. A huge part of my musical passion includes helping and supporting the local scene and consistently learning from all the amazing veteran DJs we have in our city today.

Recently, on the club side of things, I’ve been channelling the majority of my efforts into promoting and playing in several monthly residencies with a focus on DnB under the moniker “Harddrive”. Aside from the Sonar and Drum-Soul monthlies, I can be found spinning deep house at the end of each month on Abstrakt nights or the occasional vintage disco/soul/funk tune under my regular name at a one-off show or independent event.

You can check out Harddrive at harddrivednb.com

With that introduction out of the way

I’m really really excited to share this news with y’all (you all).

Recently, he’s learned more about the things I’ve been doing on my channel at Twitch.tv and we talked about an idea on how we can blend the two genres, live gaming broadcasting and live DJ set mixing, together.

We are taking a game, Limbo, that has dark imagery and has a clean canvas when it comes to it’s soundtrack. This is being played by yours truly. Here’s an example of what Limbo is like:

On the soundtracking side, we are introducing musical themes such as dark and eerie dub techno, minimal dubstep, and deep DnB that will be mixed by Harddrive.

The project that we are debuting this Saturday is combining the visual elements of video gaming with the creative flows of DJ mixing to create an unique take of how we watch and listen. The goal of our project to try something new and see what it can evolve into.

In our worlds, we are surrounded with a whole lot of the same. We, collectively, want to stir things up and produce something that goes in a different creative direction and push the envelope of what is possible.

Come check it out, it will be on http://www.twitch.tv/tinner10tin at 8pm TEXAS time. I hope to see y’all there!

While playing a game I do not like, I got Bean Boozled! 3 Times!

Last week, I did another reward redemption for Enderup! Geez, that guy is just raking in the coins. For those who don’t know, you can earn 1 coin every minute watching the stream and you use those coins to have me play games, like this one.

For me, this isn’t a reward. This game, Punch-out!! for the Wii brings out my inner salt. So you can imagine how I felt when I got Bean Boozled 3 times! This is another reward where I eat randomly chosen jelly beans. Instead of me explaining, just watch this!
