Game: Super Mario 3D World (Wii U), Splatoon Beta (Wii U)
Did another round of Super Mario 3D World and progression and mistakes were made. To be honest, I don’t even know what world I ended up on, because Chat and I were enamored for the release of the Splatoon Beta! They released one game mode and 2 maps. The beta was available for a single hour and I definitely made use of every minute provided. The game is a fun and the stability was good. I don’t think there was any serious latency issues. Below is a nice example of one of the matches I had tonight.
Chat was wonderful and we went a little personal with who we are and learned a few embarrassing stories. I love our chats and hope they continue to bloom.
Streaming Tech
I kept all the settings the same at 540p @ 48FPS. I did up the encoding on my computer to output a better picture. Both games streamed wonderfully and I feel that I’m pretty settled with these options. I had a few comments about audio syncing working well and no complaints on buffering or freezing issues. I’ve come a long way from my 720p @ 60FPS streams to something more tidy and effective.
Bonus streaming tech news! I did some testing of Wii games on the Wii U. Despite the games being at 480p output. The games look great. I’m looking forward to introducing older Wii games.
